Step 5# The Law of Relativity
During this time of crisis I’m going through a rollercoaster of emotions. Last night, learning that my wife, who is an acupuncturist, can no longer treat her patients was devastating. Later, hearing the South Korean Foreign Minister’s talk brought me hope. This morning, a second flat in my building went in full self-isolation and I felt scared. Then, going to get their groceries, I never thought that being able to walk outside could feel so special.
Whilst my perception of what we’re currently going through is gloomy in absolute terms, I notice that it is always my perception relative to before that affects my state.
This will indeed be a long rollercoaster. Perhaps I can try to be more present to the many good bits that will pass, for nourishment.
