Diary #134 Deceiving Filters

When I feel bad, irrespective of the context, everything can seem not-quite-right.  And when I feel great everything can seem on-track.

This can be deceiving, for example, making me unaware of progress in the first scenario and complacent in the second.

But how can I see Progress independent of Mood when this is my only experience and I am immersed in it? Personally, I struggle.  But recognising, in real-time, that I am viewing life through a filter can help. How do I do that? With mindfulness or any other practice that puts my thoughts and feelings into perspective.
