An interesting part of long meditations - ranging from 30mins daily (2 weeks min) to a silent retreat - is that one gets to observe the internal landscape constantly changing.
Ease, difficulty, boredom, joy, confidence, anger, love, all show up, as they do in everyday life. With no external stimuli to cloud the view, these shifts can be quite pronounced, as is the unsuccessful and inevitable effort to control them.
Over time, I tire of insisting to control, let go of the clinging, and become more fluid in everyday life.
