Diary #198 Callous the Mind

Do you find that it is easier to be more present (less distracted) when doing new things?

For example, moving to a new place, first day at a job, trying a new meal? Occasionally, time even seems to slow down, doesn’t it?

These days I’m quite caught up in my thoughts and I have decided to play with the concept of novelty, to help me be more present in my day-to-day.

Specifically, I am experimenting with ‘micro-dosing’: small effortless doses of novel mini-actions, producing spikes of presence scattered through-out the day.
