Diary #280 Yet

I’ve started an online course on memory with Jim Kwik, who is the most impressive coach I’ve come across in this field.

There are many factors that play a role, including nutrition, exercise, sleep, recall techniques and motivation.

The first to work with is limiting beliefs.  He says, “When you fight for your limitations, you get to keep them.”  It makes sense, but denying my limits doesn’t help either.  Here is how he got me over this one: instead of telling myself “I don’t have a good memory,” I say “I don’t have a good memory yet”. It’s a small tweak, but most importantly I can believe it.

So what's a good way to start loosening my limiting beliefs?  Adding the word "yet".
